Supported versions

VersionSupported
0.15.xYes: fixes and security fixes
0.14.x and earlierNo: upgrade with the migration guide

The SDKs are previews while PAP is a draft: only the latest minor release is supported, in both languages at once. A security fix is released as a new patch or minor version of both packages from one tag.

Report a problem

  • A bug, a question, or an interoperability problem: open an issue on GitHub with the SDK version, the language, and, for interoperability, the pap conformance run report of the other side. Never paste a token, a proof, a key, a password, or a one-time code: the SDK's own errors and logs carry none, so share those.
  • A difference from the specification: name the section and the requirement ID from protocol/requirements.yaml (for example PAP-4.3-09).

Security

Do not open a public issue for a vulnerability. Email security@datalayer.io with a description, the affected versions, and how to reproduce it. We answer promptly, fix the latest release, and credit the reporter unless asked not to. The security model describes what the SDK protects and what a host must provide.

Verifying a release

Every release is published from the repository's Release workflow with trusted publishing: the PyPI distributions carry attestations and the npm package carries provenance, both naming the workflow run and the tag they were built from.
